Friday, August 1, 2025, the "Local Wisdom-Based Character Habituation Training" activity was carried out for students at Bumijo State Elementary School, Jetis, Yogyakarta.

This activity was organized by the Doctoral Program in Educational Sciences, Postgraduate School of Yogyakarta State University, as a form of academic implementation in the field of character education.

This training presents three main speakers, namely:

1. Prof. Dr. Anik Ghufron, M.Pd., who presented material on *Character Education*,

2. Dr. Rukiyati, M.Hum., on *Character Habituation*, and

3. Dr. Ariefa Efianingrum, M.Si., who discussed *Local Wisdom* as the basis for building student character.

This activity was also guided by M. Saiful Anwar, M.PA. as moderator, and supported by an implementing team consisting of Tampi Prehadini, M.Pd. (Practice) and Maryani, M.A. (Action Plan).

The training took place from 13.00 WIB until finished, with an interactive and participatory atmosphere between the presenters, teachers, and students.

The aim of this activity is to foster positive character values ​​through a local wisdom-based approach, so that students are able to recognize, appreciate, and implement cultural values ​​in everyday life.

Through this training, it is hoped that Bumijo State Elementary School can become an example of implementing character education that is contextual and relevant to the local cultural environment.
